Terms of use

The ground rules for using Oukonjou. By browsing the site, you accept these terms.

Updated on November 2, 2026

What the site is for

Oukonjou helps you find free-access sports facilities near you: skateparks, multisport courts, basketball courts, fitness trails and much more, in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Andorra and Monaco. You can also suggest facilities that are missing.

These terms explain what you can expect from the site and what we expect from you. They sit alongside the legal notice, the privacy policy and the contribution guidelines.

Free access

The site is free. You can browse the map, listings and guides without an account. You only need a free account to suggest a facility. You need an internet connection, at your own cost.

We do our best to keep the site available, but it may be interrupted, for example for maintenance or an outage at one of our providers. We may also change, suspend or stop all or part of the service.

Information for guidance only

Facility listings are based on public data, OpenStreetMap contributions and user suggestions checked by Oukonjou. They are updated regularly, but they may be incomplete, out of date or wrong.

Before you go, check on site:

  • that the facility is actually open and accessible to the public;
  • the opening hours, often set by a municipal order or by the operator;
  • the condition of the equipment and surfaces.

The “Verified contribution” label means we checked the suggestion remotely, using aerial imagery, photos and the available sources. It is not an on-site inspection.

A facility listed on Oukonjou is not guaranteed to be compliant, safe or well maintained.

Playing safely

You play at your own risk. Follow the rules posted on site, and respect other users and the neighbours. Adjust what you do to your level, the weather and the state of the facility, and wear suitable protective gear.

Children play under the responsibility of their parents or the adults with them.

If a facility looks dangerous, do not use it and let the owner or the local council know.

Account

Creating an account: the account is free. You create it with your email address and no password: we send you a sign-in link, valid for 20 minutes and usable only once. You stay signed in for 30 days on the device you used. You are responsible for access to your mailbox, which acts as the key to your account.

Limits: the number of sign-in requests and suggestions is limited per address, to prevent misuse.

Suspension: we may suspend or block, without notice, an account that sends false or abusive suggestions or breaks these terms. If you think this is a mistake, write to us from the contact page.

Deletion: you can delete your account at any time from My account. Your email address and your pending or declined suggestions are erased. Facilities already published stay on the map, with no link to you, under the licence described below.

Contributing

You can suggest a facility that is missing from the map on the Suggest a facility page. Your contribution is voluntary and unpaid. The contribution guidelines explain how it works.

When you send a suggestion, you confirm that:

  • the information is accurate, to the best of your knowledge;
  • the facility is genuinely free to use: open to everyone, free of charge and without booking;
  • the suggestion is not false, and not a deliberate duplicate of a facility already listed;
  • you took the photos yourself, and they show no identifiable people and no number plates;
  • the description contains no advertising, no personal details and nothing unlawful.

Checked before publication: every suggestion is reviewed by hand before anything is published. None is published automatically. We may correct it (location, type, name) before publishing it, or decline it. In that case we give a short reason, without being required to explain the decision in detail.

Licence you grant: the published information about a facility (not the photos) can be reused under an open licence. By sending a suggestion, you grant Oukonjou a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence, for the full term of any rights involved, to publish this information, correct it and distribute it under the Open Database License (ODbL). You also agree that it may be offered to OpenStreetMap under the same licence. For facilities already published, this licence continues after you delete your account.

Photos: they remain yours. You only allow us to use them to check your suggestion. They are never published and are deleted after the decision.

Email alerts

You can sign up to hear when new facilities are listed in the towns you follow. Signing up is free and must be confirmed through a link sent by email.

You can unsubscribe at any time, in one click, from any alert or from the Unsubscribe page. We may end a subscription in case of misuse, for example signing up an address that is not yours.

What you may not do

When using Oukonjou, you agree not to:

  • collect the site's content in bulk or by automated means (scraping), or overload its servers;
  • use the site or its data for unlawful purposes;
  • try to access non-public parts of the site without permission or disrupt how it works;
  • sign up an email address for alerts without its owner's consent;
  • create an account with an email address that is not yours;
  • send false, abusive or promotional suggestions, or get round the limits on suggestions;
  • present the site or its content as official.

If you want to reuse facility data, go to the original sources, under their own licences. Facilities from user contributions can be reused under the ODbL. The details are on the Sources and licences page.

Intellectual property

The texts, name, logo and visual identity of Oukonjou belong to its publisher. Facility data remains under the licences of those who publish it. Facilities from user contributions are distributed under the ODbL. The details are in the legal notice and on the Sources and licences page.

Reporting a mistake

Most of our data comes from public sources, so the best fix is at the source, where it helps everyone.

  • In France: write to the team behind the Data ES database, run by the French ministry for sport, from the “Contact” section of equipements.sports.gouv.fr, stating the facility and the correction. You can also let the facility's owner know, usually the local council: the owner is the one who updates its declaration. The fix will show on Oukonjou after a later update.
  • In other countries: you can edit OpenStreetMap directly, or write to us from the contact page.
  • A missing facility: suggest it on the Suggest a facility page.
  • A mistake on a verified contribution: write to us from the contact page, with the link to the listing.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site or the law changes. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page. The version online at the time of your visit is the one that applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If a dispute arises, we will first try to settle it amicably. Failing that, the French courts will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rules that may apply in your country of residence.
