How it works

  1. Search

Type a town or tap “Near me”. Your position is computed in your browser and never sent.

  2. Choose

Filter by type, lighting, accessibility or a nearby defibrillator. Each card shows drinking water, toilets, today's weather and air quality.

  3. Go

Open directions in Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze. Check the rules posted on site.

Know the rules

A 3x3 game goes to 21 points, a pétanque game to 13, and on a pump track you never ride against the flow. Every facility type has a full guide.

All guides

  • Basketball courts

    The rim is 3.05 m off the ground. A full FIBA court measures 28 × 15 m; a 3x3 court, 15 × 11 m.

  • Pétanque courts

Formats: in head-to-head and doubles, each player has 3 boules; in triples, each player has 2.

  • Pump tracks

Start from the roll-in, one rider at a time, and leave a real gap to the person ahead.

  • Skateparks

One person at a time on a line or in the bowl. Wait your turn at the edge, where others can see you.

  • Multisport courts

The court can't be booked. If others are waiting, take turns with short games or play winner stays on.

  • Street workout areas

Free up the station between sets if someone is waiting, or offer to take turns.

Frequently asked questions

What is a free-access facility?

A spot anyone can use for free, without booking, usually without a locked fence: a skatepark, a multisport court, a basketball court in a park. In France, the official Data ES census defines it as a facility that is permanently accessible and allows unsupervised practice.

Is the information reliable?

It comes from public sources, but a facility can close, change its opening hours or be under repair. Always check on site. To report an error in France, write to the Data ES team (“Contact” section of equipements.sports.gouv.fr) or tell the facility's owner; elsewhere, edit OpenStreetMap. You can also write to us.

Is Oukonjou an official website?

No. Oukonjou is an independent website that reuses open data. It has no link with ministries, local authorities or sports federations.

Why sign up?

To get alerts when new facilities are listed in your towns, or to suggest a facility with a free account. The map works fully without signing up.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. The site is free and will stay free.
