As French law allows for a person who publishes a website on a non-professional basis, the publisher's address and phone number are not published: they are provided to the hosting provider.

The publication director is the site's publisher.

Hosting provider

The site is hosted by:

  • Netlify, Inc.
  • Address: 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, United States

  • Website: www.netlify.com

The data processed as part of hosting is described in the privacy policy.

Intellectual property

The texts, name, logo and visual identity of Oukonjou are protected by intellectual property law. Unless the publisher agrees in writing, you may not copy, modify or distribute them, in whole or in part. Short quotations are fine if they credit the source and link back to the site.

The data on sports facilities does not belong to Oukonjou. It comes from public sources and OpenStreetMap, and remains under its own licences, listed on the Sources and licences page. The base map, the mapping library and the typefaces are also covered by their own licences.

An unofficial site

Oukonjou is an independent website. It has no connection with the ministries, public authorities, local councils or sports federations of the countries it covers, and does not speak on their behalf. It uses no official logo.

Reusing public data does not mean that the organisations who publish it approve of or endorse the site.

Limitation of liability

The information on Oukonjou is provided for guidance only. It comes from public databases and OpenStreetMap contributions, which we republish without being able to check every facility in person. A facility may have closed, moved, been restricted to certain users or be under works.

Before you go, check access, opening hours and condition on site. The safety and upkeep of facilities are the responsibility of their owner or operator, not Oukonjou.

The services shown near facilities (defibrillators, drinking water, toilets, bike repair stations) come from self-reported databases: they may be missing, moved, closed or out of order. Weather and air quality are forecasts. In an emergency, call 112.

The publisher works to keep the site available and accurate but cannot guarantee it. The publisher's liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

Facilities suggested by users

Some facilities on the map are suggested by registered users. Each suggestion is checked by the publisher before it is published (location, aerial imagery, unpublished verification photos, sources) and is labelled “Verified contribution”. Even so, this information is provided for guidance only: report any error through the contact page. The applicable rules are set out in the contribution guidelines and the terms of use.

External links

Oukonjou links to other websites: public data portals, OpenStreetMap, official sites and directions apps. The publisher has no control over these sites and is not responsible for their content or for how they handle personal data.

You are welcome to link to Oukonjou without asking first, as long as you do not suggest that the site is official or that a partnership exists when it does not.

Governing law

This legal notice is governed by French law. If a dispute arises, we will first try to settle it amicably. Failing that, the French courts will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rules that may apply in your country of residence.
